About

Copywriter Extraordinaire, and Donut Connoisseur

At the age of four, Bailey was found screaming in the farmer’s field behind her grandparent’s house after a thunderstorm. Unbeknownst to her, the muddy field was too strong for her Minnie Mouse rubber boots, and despite her best efforts, she would not be finding the end of the rainbow that day.

For the next 12 years, she was glued to either a television screen or book, hoping that the fictional stories she consumed about larger-than-life characters could one day become her reality. She continued to plot her escape from her working-class upbringing and tiny remote town, but this time, in search of something more than just a fictitious pot of gold.

And so, she went off to university at the ripe age of 16, with something to prove. Officially becoming a first-generation degree holder and the first in the family to cry, “Why can’t I get a job with my arts degree?”.

But eventually, she did, and she now lives and works in London as a Copywriter.

Her portfolio spans a wide range of regional and global clients from both consumer and corporate sectors, including Cartier, Deliveroo, L’Oréal, Manulife, Shell, and more. In addition to agency work, she has also worked in-house, applying her creative instincts across a variety of roles. A creative at heart, Bailey has worked with dozens of B2B and B2C clients, delivering everything from ad copy to public relations and corporate communications strategy, branding, and transformative campaigns.

An aficionado of alliterations, adjectives and similes, Bailey is passionate about helping companies and institutions craft stories that are progressive and inclusive, as she believes that powerful copy should have no barriers.

Experience

Bark.com

2023 – Present

As the key guardian of Bark’s tone of voice, I ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels, from marketing campaigns to customer-facing resources. I’ve played a central role in Bark’s brand transformation, developing comprehensive brand guidelines, creating new straplines and themes, and implementing copywriting processes that unify our identity and streamline creativity.

My work spans crafting over 1,000 meta ads that drive engagement, editing and refreshing buyer and seller communications to meet specific audience needs, and collaborating with Customer Success to enhance help centre resources—including scripts for our video series. I also created Bark’s first-ever press releases, elevating our public profile and reinforcing our reputation as a trusted leader in the industry.

Copywriter, Golin, IPG

2020 – 2023

In my role at Golin, I tackled a profoundly diverse range of writing, delivering impactful results for both B2B and B2C clients. Whether it was crafting press releases, writing bylines or media pitches, ghostwriting for individuals far more important than myself, whipping up snazzy social media content, or transcribing interviews, every piece was designed to resonate with the audience and meet client objectives. I also contributed to new business meetings and pitches, ensuring our creative strategies aligned with client needs and drove measurable outcomes.

I’ve partnered with leading PR firms across Asia, including Perfect Resonance Consulting, Golin Hong Kong, and Six Degrees PR, providing freelance expertise to ensure written B2B and B2C deliverables align seamlessly with client objectives. This work has supported high-profile brands such as BMW, Cartier, Hong Kong Performing Arts Expo, K11 MUSEA, Pullman Hotels, Qatar Airways and Tai Kwun, with a particular focus on staying attuned to the evolving needs of the APAC region.

Staff Writer, Gafencu Magazine

2018 – 2019

During my time at Gafencu, I wrote and edited for both the digital and print editions of the magazine, contributing feature articles on luxury lifestyle topics such as travel, beauty, food and beverage, and home decor. I covered prestigious brands like Bulgari, Cartier, and Dior, showcasing their influence in the world of luxury. My work also included interviewing leading architects, chefs and designers in Hong Kong, as well as successful business leaders across multiple industries, capturing their insights and achievements through thoughtful and engaging profiles. Notably, I conducted the first-ever cover interview with a transgender woman for a Hong Kong magazine, breaking new ground in representation and inclusivity within the region’s media landscape.
